Our Phoenix Project funded by UK Government through the Shared Prosperity Fund, People and Skills, Wrexham, saw us train 6 new inclusive creative dance leaders over 25 weeks of the project. Our Phoenix Project supported our WISP+ adult dance provision in Wrexham town centre and allowed us to launch two new community dance groups in Wrexham, WISP Dance Club for young people aged 14-25 and Famalam bringing families together to dance inclusively. Our Phoenix project also saw us reaching out to local community groups to run 8 inclusive creative dance tasters across the Wrexham County. The legacy of our project sees our 6 trainees become WISP Dance Club team members leading sessions for us across the North East Wales region, supporting us to grow and develop over the coming years and championing inclusive creative dance practice throughout education and the community.
