Creu 30 Mwy marked a powerful milestone: 30 years of WISP championing the voices, creativity and lived experiences of people with additional needs through dance. This ambitious, large-scale project honoured our past while boldly investing in the future of inclusive dance across North Wales.
At its heart, Creu 30 Mwy was about connection — connecting people, organisations, artists and audiences — and shining a spotlight on the extraordinary work happening under the banner of inclusive dance.
In recognition of its impact, Creu 30 Mwy has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Community Project of the Year category sponsored by The Bank of London at the British Diversity Awards 2026.
Creu 30 Mwy was a multi-faceted programme that delivered:
A First-of-Its-Kind Inclusive Dance Festival
A major highlight of Creu 30 Mwy was the creation and delivery of #Ni’nDawnsioHefyd / \#WeDanceToo, a groundbreaking inclusive dance festival celebrating the very best of community and professional inclusive dance in Wales.
The festival featured:
Two members of Human’s Move are current or former members of WISP Dance Club, making this performance — the only North Wales date of their Let Life Dance tour — especially meaningful. Championing their success on home soil was a powerful moment of pride for our community.
Presented as relaxed performances, #WeDanceToo welcomed audiences of all backgrounds and access needs, challenging perceptions of what dance is and who dance is for. The festival dismantled stereotypes, shifted attitudes, and celebrated excellence, artistry and inclusion in equal measure.
Creu 30 Mwy:
A dedicated networking event brought together performers (community and professional), families, partners, funders and dignitaries, helping to deepen relationships and strengthen the inclusive dance ecosystem across North Wales.
WISP is working with an external evaluator to gather feedback from participants and communities involved in Creu 30 Mwy. The resulting impact report will support shared learning, inform future development, and be disseminated widely through partner networks and the Wales-Wide Training Programme, ensuring the project’s legacy reaches far beyond its delivery period.
Creu 30 Mwy / Create 30 More was proudly supported by The National Lottery and the Arts Council of Wales
